National Gallery – Radical Light

Type of project: Book design

Client: National Gallery

Design of the catalogue accompanying the National Gallery exhibition ‘Radical Light’, a comprehensive survey on Italian Divisionism. This artistic movement flourished in Italy in the late 19th-early 18th century.

Like all exhibition catalogues, this one also presented challenges in terms of systemising catalogue entries and making sure the complex information relating to each painting was immediately comprehensible.

I was very proud of the result: the design conveys the complex information as well as bringing the paintings to life. The original catalogue is very well reviewed on Amazon, where it fetches a really high price.

FYI, the photos of my samples are always all mine.
